A few highlights of the garden care and improvement services we have completed.

Jason & Jane’s town house garden

Jason and Jane approached me for a complete redesign of their town house garden, which was a 30 meter south facing garden which was laid mainly to grass lawn with a slight slope downward from the house with some planting to the edges and a small garden shed at the bottom.

Jason and Jane live in a trendy modern town house and wanted a garden that reflected their life style, both requested a garden that would function well when they entertained and socialised and Jane also wanted to ensure that she kept the charm of her plants and shrubs, which she loves – a mature Magnolia, old and cherished Acer and established summer flowering Jasmine which climbed over her fence.

With all this in mind I designed a terraced garden divided into 3 separate areas – this addressed the challenge of the slope. I defined the garden areas with rendered walls which acted to separate the areas and also act as seating for guests when they entertained and also planting areas to add interest and allow Jane to keep the plants that she loved.

The terraces were then paved in a light grey slab in 2 of the terraces and then a decked area to the bottom terrace. The shed was replaced with a garden retreat AKA “man Shed” and space for barbeque area.

This garden is now fully established with further planting of grasses, bamboo and a few shrubs and has been used to full effect during summer and winter months by their friends, family and guests.

Kate & Tony’s Garden

Kate and Tony wanted to transform a concrete expanse of a garden into an easy to maintain Mediterranean style garden, specifically with no lawn and raised beds to help with the ease of looking after their new garden and also to double up as seating.

Planting is a combination of their favourite flowering plants with some leafy exotics to give the sunny Mediterranean feel they were after.

There is a river at the end of the garden and access to this was also important for them.

Uxbridge Garden

The couple have just had a large kitchen extension built with bi fold doors to the rear garden. They were looking for a paved area with seating as it’s a very sunny part of the garden and were also looking to have some of their favourite plants included in the plan. The lavenders and Agapanthus are a great summertime addition. We were also able to re use an old and cherished Acer into the scheme.

Michael and Pat’s Decking

Michael and Pat asked us for a deck that would make the most of the sunniest part of their garden.

The deck was built over some existing steps that had started to become dangerous and impractical to use.

The deck we built was raised to the height of the existing patio doors and then extended into the garden giving them a secluded seating area right outside the lounge and making full use of the part of the garden that received the most sun.

We then built two sets of steps to let Pat and Michael to have an easy way of getting to the lower parts of their garden.
